Description
The TITAN 60 is the wide-deck flagship of Toro’s prosumer-tier residential zero-turn lineup — a 60-inch lap-bar zero-turn paired with a 26-horsepower Kohler 7000 V-twin, twin commercial-grade hydrostatic transaxles, and the MyRIDE fully-floating suspension system that defines Toro’s premium residential mowers. For three- to six-acre properties where mowing time, comfort, and build quality all matter, the TITAN 60 occupies the top of the residential category before stepping into Toro’s commercial Z-Master line.
Power comes from a 26-horsepower Kohler 7000 Series V-twin OHV engine displacing 747cc — the largest engine in Kohler’s 7000 platform. Full pressure lubrication, automotive-style spin-on oil filter, and a paper-element air cleaner round out a long-life engine package built for sustained mowing intervals. Electric key start, automatic choke, and a regulated charging system handle cold mornings without operator intervention.
Twin commercial-grade hydrostatic transaxles power the rear wheels independently, allowing true zero-radius pivoting controlled through a pair of lap bars. Top forward speed is 9 mph and reverse runs around 4 mph. Toro’s Smart Speed control system gives the operator three distinct ground-speed ranges — Trim, Tow, and Mow — selectable from a single dash lever, calibrated for different mowing tasks.
The MyRIDE suspension system uses sealed maintenance-free bearings to float the operator station independently of the chassis, dramatically reducing the impact felt over root bumps, frost heaves, and uneven ground. Owners coming from a non-suspended zero-turn typically report noticeably less fatigue across two-hour-plus mowing sessions.
The 60-inch IronForged fabricated steel deck cuts at seven height settings between 1.5 and 4.5 inches via a foot-lift pedal and pin-locked indicator. Three cutting blades work in side-discharge configuration. The IronForged deck is welded from heavier-gauge plate than the stamped decks common at this price point and is engineered to hold its cut-quality geometry across years of weekly mowing.
Operator comfort centers on a premium high-back suspension seat with armrests, soft-grip lap bars, dual LED headlights for low-light mowing, and the MyRIDE-isolated foot deck. The dashboard layout is honest and minimal: ignition, throttle, choke, PTO knob, Smart Speed lever, hour meter, fuel gauge.
The chassis is welded tubular steel with a corrosion-resistant powder-coat finish. The 5-gallon fuel tank delivers four-plus hours of continuous mowing time. The standard rear hitch accepts most popular tow-behind attachments — dump carts, broadcast spreaders, plug aerators, dethatchers, and lawn rollers all mount without modification.
For three- to six-acre properties where comfort matters as much as deck width, the TITAN 60 is the most refined residential zero-turn at any price point. The MyRIDE suspension and IronForged deck combination is the substance behind the prosumer premium.
